A short-life working group has been assembled by the Scottish Government in order to support an effective implementation of the new qualification requirement for residential child care work in Scotland. A member of the SRCCWA – Kathleen Mulvey – will sit on this working group to represent your views and questions. Towards this end, please send related questions and talking points to email@example.com by 25 May 2016 for inclusion at the first meeting. Watch this space for updates.
Welcome to the online home of the
Scottish Residential Childcare Workers Association
We are connected by our belief in and commitment to the positive potential of residential child care. Membership is free, and we welcome anyone with an interest in improving the lives of children and young people in residential care through the development of practice and practitioners. This association aims to provide opportunities for practitioners and others to come together, benefit from one another's knowledge and experience, raise concerns, plan and take action, and strengthen the voice and professional identity of residential child care workers more generally.
So please have a look around. We have more details about our aims, values and beliefs in the tab called 'What We Stand For', as well as information about upcoming (and past) Events, and Post Registration Training and Learning. If you have time to make a cuppa and put your feet up, check out the Steamie.
If you haven't already joined, please click the 'Join here' link. It's a very brief form and can be sent back to us via e-mail, or you can join our mailing list on this page.
We hope you find all the information you need within the website, if you have any questions please get in touch at firstname.lastname@example.org
